so tired!

Saturday, October 21st, 2006

have you ever had the feeling that you know that you’re awake and yet kinda spaced out too?

that’s been my mode for the whole day today. and of course, once i’m out in space, friends bump into me when i’m wandering about aimlessly looking half-dead.

i wonder what they must’ve been thinking.

some ‘facts’

Sunday, October 8th, 2006

this is to be yet another tongue-in-cheek post. so therefore, don’t take everything i say here seriously can? thanks!(why am i thanking you? HAHAHA!)

 1) doctors do not take kindly to student nurses unless they(the student) is female and they(the doctors) are two male doctors who need a chaperone for examination of a female patient.

2) connections may backfire on you sometimes, but the other colors it brings out in people can be quite…enlightening.

3) most of the haze can be traced back to the forests of kalimantan.

4) malaysians are not taking MM Lee’s remarks well and even have a panel investigating it despite the fact he already sent a long apology to their PM.

5)the haze as at 11pm 7oct06 has a PSI of 140.

6)MIPO stands for Minimally Invasive Plate Osteosynthesis.

7)scrubbing your hands takes on a new meaning in the OTs.

8 ) cows(esp white ones) are sacred in India

9) i like shah rukh khan better than amir khan because the former ages better.

10) do not attempt to flush toilet bowls choked with faecal matter. the bowl will fill up even more with water+faecal matter.

11) i can assume that some of you tried to picture 10. and felt sick.

12) also, some of you said/thought to yourself : “Assume means making an ass out of u and me!”

13) my chinese is really bad and is worsened by my garbled enunciation thanks to having retainers in my sublingual region.

dreams of deja vu.

Monday, July 31st, 2006

have you ever suddenly realised whilst dreaming that you've visited the place before and almost the same exact things happened?

(no, i'm not talking about hidden meanings in dreams cos i'm no expert and only God can intepret the stuff for you)

i have had a few recurring dreams and everytime i recognize them, i get really freaked out but am too tired to do anything about it. yes, if you concentrate hard enough, you might be able to sometimes control what goes on in your dreams.

there's one where i go to some foreign worker's dormitory(it houses not only construction workers but domestic helpers too. hmmm) that looks eerily like my aunt's previous apartment in Bedok Resevoir Road. it will always be nighttime and the lights are orange. but that's all i manage to recall. ah well.

today i had one of them again. but the plus part was that Captain Jack Sparrow was in it this time and i had to help him with his loot. lol.

here's a video of At Last in the semis of America's Got Talent. fellow asians to be proud of in that country other than lea salonga, ming na wen, lucy liu… (i think i better not say anymore before i launch into a soliloquy on asian pride again)

friday morning.

Friday, July 14th, 2006

its now 3am-ish in the morning and i cannot get to sleep. yesterday's sleep-time of 2am sure didnt help because i woke up at 11am proper which makes me quite awake now. boo.

don't you just hate it everytime you get into the die-die-cannot-sleep mode? you feel physically tired, yet your body doesn't wanna go sleep. and you can lie in your bed for hours and not even yawn. when you wake up, you feel as though you ran 10km and were forced to run 50km more.

maybe staring at nice pictures will help.

never copy+paste in lah.cc

Monday, June 26th, 2006

maybe its me, or maybe its lah.cc(hopefully not the latter!)

my previous entry looks a tad weird innit? i meant for it to be all inspirational and such, but alas, my attempt failed. hopefully the message still gets across. don't agree with all points listed but its good to do some of them eh?

was at my sister's house watching HOUSE MD. usually i dont watch HOUSE cos it doesn't have the whimsy of Scrubs or the eye-candy of Greys. yes, i sound superficial. but i like them basically because i actually know what they're talking about(mostly) and that they are actually good, not like singapore's lame attempts at medical shows like First Touch that centred more on Edmund Chen.

back to HOUSE. protagonist of the show is Gregory House who is the head of diagnostic medicine in some hospital. this character is one amazing doctor. he can do everything. he can do virtually EVERYTHING. though he isn't a very people-person. which is strange, because i prefer to think that doctors do what they do because they care for people. but not House. he's…efficient. more focused on the efficacy rather than rapport.

maybe i shall actually watch more next time…

Singapore was ranked a dismal 30 out of 35 for courtesy. i laughed when i read that. what exactly does the world expect of us? first they laugh at our small size, lack of natural resources, insult our apparent lack of political freedom…aiyah, the list goes on forever.

the crux is, be polite. the rest don't want to be polite, its their pasar. don't worry so much for them!

off-ing the comments

Thursday, June 1st, 2006

decided to switch off the comments system so that i can just happily delete all spam comments that have been coming in!!! i also deleted friends’ comments so i’m abit sorry for deleting everything without looking proper.

have been doing nursery duty for the past 2 weeks and thankfully this week is my last consecutive week before i embark on a 3 weeks break. don’t get me wrong i LOVE nursery duty. its just the waking up early part i could do without.

helped to ‘edit’ my sister’s morality essay and it was not a fun job. seriously. i don’t even know why she asked me to do it. so i cut out about a 100 over words so that the essay hit the word limit. i am not used to ‘correcting’ an essay that has virtually no grammatical errors. it is unnerving, to say the very least. she insisted i had to finish it at the expense of watching Singapore Idol…

but after watching the recaps i don’t think i missed out much and basically what 8days said was quite true after all. don’t know any of the contestants personally so i won’t bother with voting. (i still think paul twohill needs a haircut and that the tall fella is NOT handsome)

dreaming and some.

that's life!

i’ve been having those kind of dreams where things are going on at a frenzied pace. in those dreams, i participate rather actively and most of them centre around me having to run. and a very long distance too.

do you know that what may seem like 10 min in your dream is actually about 2-3 hours long?

doesn’t help that your brain(which is supposed to be resting) has to work extra hard too.

so instead of feeling refreshed and relaxed after waking up, i feel rather stressed and harassed instead. so not good.

rallying support

Tuesday, May 2nd, 2006

recently, as all of you should know(unless you’ve been hiding under a rock or something), the political scene in singapore has suddenly become more vibrant. what with all the rallies, political broadcasts and walkabouts.

so i comment randomly(you know, random means anyhowly one, okay?).

“what do you mean play dirty? even if they have, can you say that others haven’t?”

and

“why complain about the rising standards of living? its not like we have the space to bring down housing costs, amongst other things. give us a piece of land for our disposal the size of johor and we can talk about lowering the costs.”

yeah, those comments were totally random. and here’s a random picture of some random poster near my house.

can't see clearly right? that's the idea!
dun call me bias, okay? because a certain blogger has already done that for me ! :)

to prove how random is my post i shall post 2 more random pictures!

jumping jumping

and

talking

in the mrt, had to watch ‘romance movies’. for  the 1st couple, the fella opened his legs very wide, the girl propped both hers onto one of his. and both of them ’slept’ so well that when their phone rang they didn’t stir. the fella moved his legs and his fingers were like in the motion of msging but not once did he open his eyes.

the 2nd couple used each other as poles. they were practically making out in full view of everybody. so considerate, hor? they should do it on the platform, maybe the mrt will give them the cctv footage so that maybe they can become like tammy or james gomez.

Perhaps Love

Friday, March 17th, 2006

these 2 words have become stuck in my head recently.

been listening to the songs both called ‘perhaps love’. one is from a korean show soundtrack and the other is from a movie that has the same name.

academic tests are coming up. not exactly pleasantville, but it is a must to go thru such ‘torture’. renovations going on at the immeadiate neighbour’s house does not thrill me.

wanted to take a picture of Raffles Hospital but unfortunately my sis drove too fast and my reaction was too slow. have i ever mentioned that its my dream to work in Raffles Hospital?(reasons are only known to those i’ve forced into listening to me)
